Riverside County Supervisors acknowledge shortcomings in Veterans’ Services

A recent grand report by the County of Riverside identified numerous shortcomings in the Department of Veterans Services. According to the report, the biggest concern of the jury involved staffing. They found the number of personnel inadequate to properly handle the needs of veterans seeking assistance.

Resently about a month after the article regarding the Grand JURY becoming involved for Veterans in our County, one of our community businessmen and retired Marine went to the Country office in Hemet and was told they knew nothing of the article or any plans to correct the issues the article pointed out from the Grand Jury. What he was told was that there is no budget for Veterans issues or hiring of more people to help Veterans.
